Hi Cloudy et al!

Yes, I log in EVERY day at around 8:30 - 9:00 and check for "unread" mails.

What I find very frustrating is that if a message appears on the "old" e-group we are then inundated with replies Huh

How obtuse is that Cry

Keep the faith, brothers Roll Eyes

Hi Ken and all,

yes I also EVERY day look for messages where a reply from mine could be useful.
I wish my posts got more replies, especially the technical ones . . .
On Tuesday I am off to Argentina and Uruguay for 3 weeks, unlikely to have Internet access.

Talk to all of you back in November!

Yours

Cloudy

Hi Cloudy

i too like yourself check at least 4 times a day for new posts or topics, and alas nowt. I now i replied to your extremley helpful reply to my systems probs. I read that you wish you got more replies to your Technical responces, i am sorry if if did not reply back later with my current situation. But to be honest i was so annoyed with the shop as they said i must have a virus etc, and it was only through proving what was on internet sites, that they turned tables and gave me full refund, which i duly took. And basically Claudio i never even gave you a second thought re. the help, as i was happy to get my refund, especially after all the messing round i had done, with removing vista and reinstalling xp, then reinstalling vista before going back to store all upset  Angry  Angry  Angry  Huh

Like you said about responces, i have put up many topics and to see say 100 views, i go YES, people are at least reading my topic etc, but then you view replies and you see 1 or 3, and you think, what the Fu%&. The stats show members are reading, but not replying, so the question is how do we change that, as other forums im on have daily issues, responces, whether topical or funny, which make it enjoyable.

Im sad to read that the Fly-in was a bad turn out, i really can not understand it as the club events are always a great days entertainment whether it be for help issues/craic/ or just all round putting names to faces.

Anyway Claudio i hope you have a great time in your homeland and have i mentioned i collect planes from foreign airlines..like South America...only joking, NOT....Enjoy Claudio

ps. I will need your help in the future mate, so dont you dissapear  Cool

Good morning Cloudy:
Have a good holiday and we look forward to hearing from you when you return. Please post any aviation related photos on your web site; I recall there is an excellent collection of aircraft in Argentina. Seem to remeber years ago they operated Comet 4's.
Best wishes to Betty

Hi Alwyn. Indeed, my first flight out from Argentina was in 1962 (I was 16 and travelling alone) to Rome, Italy, to pay my first visit to my relatives there. It was one of my "great adventures". Unfortunately I do not remember almost anything, though I have preserved some colour slides, scanned in the 1990's. One of them shows the wing with the backdrop of the steep hills in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It also shows how one of the engines is MISSING COMPLETELY an upper cover about 3x5ft. Strange isn't it?

Happy Christmas!
