Hi Roy. FSC's full version works perfectly in Vista Home Premium. May I refer to my review of FSC on pages 17 to 20 of March, 2008 issue of "PC Flight". On page 20, I especially refer to FSC and Vista. Cheers,  George.

Hi to all users of FS Commander.
Since the original version 8 was launched early this year for FSX and FS2004, there have been a number of Updates to V8.2, then to V8.3 and recently, to V 8.4. You can read all about them at fscommander.com where you will also read a VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE re downloading. If you got the original boxed or downloaded version from Aerosoft.de, you have to visit their site for the correct updates and not use the ones available at fscommander.com. The Updates fix bugs, etc and in my opinion, are well worth downloading as they will bring your FSCommander completely up to date.
Cheers,   George

F S Commander is now version 8.5 and it works a treat  in FSX. I run Vista Home Premium 64 bit .
32Bit is limited to a total of 4Gb RAM of which Vista uses approx 1.5Gb.
64Bit can take much more than anyone would need. I am running it with 6Gb RAM.
Having used FSNavigator for many years I now prefer F S Commander which I bought via them not Aerosoft.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Hi All.
I am running FS Commander boxed version 8.2, The update seems rather complicated ie moving files, back up etc.
Has anyone updated to the 8.5v.
Whats the problem with a new install , are there some type of penalties in doing this.

Hi ALL
The latest version of FSC is v 8.6 if earlier than 8.5 requires new install
Has any one done this yet.

Still about FSC but another aspect: I still use FS9 with FS Nav but also now have FSX. As I only fly GS aircraft will FSC allow me to choose the likes of the Cirrus SR22-G2
or is the program dedicated to "the heavies"?

Dave,

FSC does not care which aircraft you use Grin

It is a navigation programme (amongst other things) and will "take" you anywhere you wish to go and in whatever you wish to travel with.

Thanks KEN.
I liked the facility in FS NAV to add any aircraft, root out performance date from "real aviation" sources
to add that little extra realism.
