Hi Kevin.
Glad to see your back, I,m still plodding away on FSX , Have not used FS9 foor months.
As you can see its very quiet on the Forum, You can put a post in and get no responce.
A year or so ago you would get several, there is a real lack of experts today,
So look forward to some post.

Hi Kevin,

my son gave me his "old" lap-top and after installing a proper graphics driver (ATI chipset) I am now able to use it for FS9.
I have also obtained an additional monitor to go with it (15" for £30 Grin) which adds greatly to the simming as I can now run a main screen and port-out FSC etc. Actually, the "new" screen is so good that I am using that for the FS images and the lap-top to run the peripherals Smiley

What have I deduced from that?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh

Well, having to "go back" to a joystick has proved even further the value of my main rig with its compliment of GF modules etc. Still, it will be useful to take with me to simming events such as our monthly meeting at Sherburn Aero Club [EGCJ] (first Saturday each month) and the South West FS Group in Devon.

Currently my main rig is as below using GF, 2 monitors and a projector and everything running from a single PC Shocked

I was at Ken's yesterday but what he hasn't told you is that Mrs. Hall has noted his subtle slide into a further room! However I have to say that I was most impressed with his "transportable" FS9 / lap top /monitor package.
Now my lap top has been released from the visscitudes of work (I've retired in the last days)  I am working out a similar relocatable system for FS9 and all its addons.
It makes one aware of how this technology and FS have evolved and of course there is so much FS9 freeware.
