Our Club

Based in Ireland's capital city Dublin, PC Pilots Ireland was started in 1993 by two friends, Terry McGee and Ian Broni who wanted to share their hobby with other Flight Sim users. The club made it's debut in Dublin at the annual fair of the 'Aviation Society of Ireland' in 1993, where we had six computer systems displaying a selection of Flight Simulators. Such was the reaction that we enrolled our first members and have attend this fair every year since. To date we have members in Ireland, UK, throughout mainland Europe, Canada and the USA. Our objective is to share and enhance the enjoyment of your hobby with the involvement of other flight sim users. Members have the option of being added to our active forum, where they debate flight simulator topics and post requests for help on any PC hardware and Flight Sim problems.

Activities

We hold a 'Fly-In' twice a year in Dublin, where members get to meet each other and spend the day with their PCs for a day of flying, sorting hardware and software problems, chat and fun.

In 2004 we hosted Ireland's first 'Computer Flight Simulator and Aviation Show', where we had 40 exhibitors from the Flight Simulation and Aviation communities. Our next 'Computer Flight Simulator and Aviation Show' was held on Sunday 1st October 2006.

We also exhibit at Flight Simulator and Aviation shows here and in the UK such as 'The International Flightsim Convention (UK)', 'Bristol Flight Sim Show (UK)', 'Aviation Society of Ireland Annual Fair', 'Bombardier Aerospace Family Day'. Details on any Flight Simulation shows can be found on the 'Events' page.

PC Flight Magazine

Members receive our quarterly magazine 'PC Flight' - a black and white printed and a colour PDF version. PC Flight contains news on what's happening in the Flight Sim world, product reviews, members articles, help with hardware and software problems, articles on the real world of aviation, and more. Check out the 'PC Flight' page for details on what is featured in the current issue.

The Website

The object of this Website is to entice visitors to join our group. You will find a selection of Irish Scenery and Aircraft files for use on Microsoft Flight Simulator. These files will be mostly Irish based, as there are many excellent Web Sites which cater for the rest of the world. We also feature a selection of reviews and articles from our magazine 'PC Flight'.
